Renaissance Players set auditions for Peter Pan on Oct. 15-16

The Renaissance Players will hold open auditions for a community production of Peter Pan at 6 p.m. Oct. 15-16 in the East Wing Conference Room at The Renaissance Center in Dickson. Auditionees should prepare 16 bars of a song, bring sheet music in the appropriate key or an accompaniment CD/cassette and dress appropriately for a dance/movement audition.
Roles are open for males and females age five through adults. Auditions for children ages 5-14 will be Monday, Oct. 15, and auditions for ages 15 and up will be Tuesday, Oct. 16.
To help those who plan to audition, there will be a Mock Audition Workshop for Peter Pan 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Bryan J. Wlas, the center’s resident choreographer, and Nathan W. Brown, resident musical director, will take workshop participants step by step through the audition process.
Participants can work on the dance combinations that will be used in the auditions as well as get help with their musical selections. The workshop is open to adults and children and tuition is $15.
