All MET Series productions are available for bookings Tuesday through Friday at 10am.

Schoolhouse Rock Live!

Our newest MET Series play is Schoolhouse Rock Live! available now through May 21st. School teacher Tom, nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV. Suddenly, the Schoolhouse gang appears from the TV to show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs, like “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly”, “Conjunction Junction”, “I’m Just a Bill” and “Interplanet Janet” cover a variety of subject matter like math, science, history and grammar. The Emmy award winning Saturday morning cartoon series is brought to life by a cast of VERY energetic professional singers and dancers who aim to show young people that learning can be as fun as you choose to make it.

In addition the Cybersphere Digital Theatre is showing Without Rights You’re Always Wrong: What the Bill of Rights Means to Freedom. This show teaches the importance of the rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights. The project incorporates audio, video, laser, slides and music into an educational and entertaining show as a tribute to freedom. Running in conjunction with Schoolhouse Rock Live!, the show comes with a lesson review for teachers and is appropriate for grades 3-12. Cybersphere shows are a unique education and entertainment experience with programs appropriate for all ages. Shows can be scheduled for groups of 25 or more on weekdays.

The MET Series is pleased to announce the upcoming Fall 2010 productions, A Year with Frog and Toad and Best Christmas Pageant Ever. For more information or to schedule a field trip, please contact Laura Jackson at 615-740-5533 or laura.jackson@rcenter.org.
