Release Date: 11/8/2001. Expired: 11/15/2001

Some folks will do anything for a buck, and local country music star Craig Morgan isn’t passing up the chance to do just that in order to raise money for needy families.

Morgan and his friends John Conlee, Bill Anderson, Shane Minor, Jan Howard, Minton Sparks and Shelley Laine are joining up for a benefit concert Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. at The Renaissance Center, and the event is set to be webcast live on Acoustic Box Office.

Proceeds from the Craig Morgan Celebrity Event concert, including money from the webcast, will go to benefit Deliver the Dream, a 200-acre retreat in Brevard, N.C., that helps families and individuals in crisis. Organizers say they hope to have the facility completed by spring 2003.

Tickets for the live show in the center’s Performance Hall are $15.

Anyone interested in viewing the webcast must register with Acoustic Box Office, which is optimized for Internet Explorer Browsers and Windows Media Players.

To register for the pay-per-view webcast visit the Web site at and print the “how-to” instructions.

The cost for the webcast is $2.95 for 56k modem audio only, and $4.95 for 250k broadband video, which includes a later rebroadcast.
