Drama Faculty Bios
Amy Scott is managing director of the Renaissance Players. Originally from Cedar Hill, Tenn., Amy began with the Renaissance Repertory Theatre Company in 2001 and has appeared in 16 curriculum shows. Amy has appeared in 12 Gaslight Dinner Theatre productions, including Nunsense, I Do! I Do!, I Hate Hamlet, The Dining Room and The Last of the Red Hot Lovers. She appeared in community theatre productions of Godspell, A Christmas Carol and The Odd Couple. She directed the Renaissance Players productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Faith County, as well as the Gaslight Dinner Theatre production of Run for Your Wife. Other theatre credits include Dearly Departed for Mockingbird Theatre, Merrily We Roll Along for Roxy Regional Theatre and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown for Austin Peay State University. Amy also is the costume designer for all theatre productions at The Renaissance Center.
Bryan J. Wlas (Resident Choreographer/Adjunct Dance Instructor) Bryan is a native of Woodridge, Illinois, and a graduate of Millikin University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Dance minor. He teaches classes in ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre dance. His choreography has been seen here at the Center, as well as Bigfork Summer Playhouse (Montana), Bearcreek Farms Resort (Indiana), Tweetsie Railroad (North Carolina), Lees-McRae Summer Theatre (North Carolina) and Findlay SummerStock (Ohio). Favorite performing credits Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour), Meet Me In St. Louis (Lon), and A Grand Night for Singing (Martin/choreographer). As a performer he has traveled all over the country and Western Europe, performing in theme parks, on a cruise ship, and at various regional theatres.
